The aims of the workshop are to equip your staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide an understanding of diverse cultural issues that may be met within their role.

The objectives of the course are:

a)	Identify current discrimination legislation and your current Equal Opportunities Policy
b)	Distinguish between the elements of the paradigm of prejudice and discrimination
c)	Identify with the various educational models associated with Communication, values and responses to dominance
d)	Identify issues of diversity to given situations

Course Outline:

Discrimination Legislation

	-	identify current discrimination legislation
	-	evaluate the impact discrimination legislation has on the workplace

Prejudice and Discrimination

	-	define the terms prejudice and discrimination
	-	distinguish between the elements of the paradigm of prejudice and discrimination

Impact of Diversity on the workplace

	-	identify issues of diversity to given situations
	-	recognise the impact of their behaviour on the people that they manage
	-	understand the importance of dealing with everyone fairly
